Capital District Chapter of NYSARA Supports CWA and IBEW strike action against Verizon

The Capital District chapter of the New York State Alliance for Retired Americans are in the house supporting CWA and IBEW workers that are on strike against Verizon.  While Verizon makes billions in profits they want to cut  Pensions and increase Medical costs for workers who have already retired under a set of promises previously negotiated by Verizon. This is in addition to the desire of Verizon to outsource good paying union jobs to countries that offer their workers pennies on the dollar.  NYSARA is firmly committed to standing with the workers of Verizon against corporate greed run amok.
