Social Security Comes Alive on Long Island

The Long Island Chapter of NYSARA held their Fall Conference on September 19th featuring two great speakers on the subject of the health and feeding of the Social Security system. Professor Eric Kingston from Syracuse University discussed the roots and development of Social Security. He then illustrated the strength of the system and its continued viability into the future. After his presentation there was a short intermission for refreshments and to give Eric a chance to sign some of his books.
Our second speaker was our own NYSARA President Barry Kaufmann who presented more of a look at the future of Social Security. He demonstrated the importance of the upcoming election and the adverse effects a Republican in the White House would have. The event was well attended and attendees were enthusiastic.
