On Thursday January 28 in Manhasset the Long Island chapter of NYSARA was part of a panel that sought to educate constituents of Congress persons Israel and Rice about the down sides of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal. Stanley Bergman, President of the Long Island Chapter of NYSARA was part of the panel. The tribunal that would decide these cases are made up entirely of corporate lawyers. Over 100 people were in attendance to hear panelists from Food and Water Watch, the Sierra club, Move on.org and other organizations.
