NYC Chapter of NYSARA Sponsors First Annual Free Senior Resource Fair June 28, 2017

On Wednesday June 28th at TWU Local 100 headquarters the first annual senior resource fair was held. The five hour event drew over 100 people to see exhibitors from a variety of organizations and unions that offer senior services. Workshops on the New York State Constitutional Convention and its risks to seniors presented by NYSARA President Barry Kaufmann, Senior Services and Caregiver support presented JASA, NY connects presented by the NYC Department for the Aging and a discussion of Health Care for all presented by Physicians for a National Health Program. NYC Chapter President Doris Welch said “this resource fair was part of an ongoing effort to inform seniors of the resources available to them and the issues that impact them. The NYC Chapter of NYSARA is proud to be a part of this effort.”
