NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli will join us.  He has managed one of the most successful pension plans in the country and has set standards for integrity and service that have rarely been seen. Assemblywoman Gunther has served her district since 2003. She is a registered nurse and because of that is a powerful advocate for health issues.  She serves on  the health committee and chairs the mental health committee of the NYS Assembly. The health committee has passed the Safe patient staffing bill and the New York Health (single payer) bill in the Assembly. Assemblywoman Gunther will talk about what is in each of these bills, both of which are on NYSARA’s legislative agenda, and what we can do in the next legislative session to finally have these bills become law.
Presentation on the vote to hold a constitutional convention in NYS and the potentially dangerous impact on senior’s across New York.
